a flat piece of metal, usually like a coin in shape, that is given to the winner of a competition or to somebody who has been brave, for example in war القِلَادَةُ هِيَ وِسَامٌ أَوْ قِطْعَةٌ مَعْدِنِيَّةٌ مُسَطَّحَةٌ مَصْنُوْعَةٌ مِنْ مَعْدِنٍ مُحَدَّدٍ كَالذَّهَبِ أَوِ الفِضَّةِ أَوِ البْلَاتِيْنَ تَمْنَحُهَا دَوْلَةٌ أَوْ مُنَظَّمَةٌ أَوْ لَجْنَةٌ لِشَخْصٍ مُمَيَّزٍ كِجِنِرَالَ انْتَصَرَ فِيْ حَرْبٍ أَوْ مُتَسَابِقٍ فَازَ فِيْ مُسَابَقَةٍ. تُوْضَعُ فِيْ عُنُقِهِ أَوْ عَلَىْ صَدْرِهِ
